About this place

Seorae Village is a French expatriate community tucked into the residential streets of Banpo-dong in Seocho-gu, and often nicknamed "Little Paris." The neighborhood took shape after the Lycée Français de Séoul — founded in Hannam-dong in 1974 — relocated here in 1985, and it has remained the centre of Seoul's French community ever since. Streets bear names borrowed from Parisian landmarks, Montmartre Park crowns the gentle hillside above, and authentic French restaurants, wine bars, and artisan bakeries line the lanes below. Residential streets and European-style cafés sit side by side along Seorae-ro, good for a stroll or weekend brunch.
