About this place

Common Ground is a container shopping mall opened in 2015 near Konkuk University Station in Gwangjin-gu, described by its operator as the largest of its kind in Korea. It assembles 200 large shipping containers across roughly 5,300 square meters, and its tenants are emerging Korean designers and select shops carrying pieces the big chains do not. The central Market Ground plaza hosts weekend pop-up markets with rotating themes, plus exhibitions and performances. The third-floor terrace restaurant row makes it as much a dining destination as a shopping one. It is operated by Kolon Industries' FnC division.
