About this place

Once home to auto repair workshops, printing factories, and a concentrated handmade shoe industry dating from the 1970s, Seongsu-dong has reinvented itself as a district of cafes and cultural spaces. The Daelim Warehouse, a red-brick structure converted into a multi-use cultural venue, pioneered the area's warehouse-cafe aesthetic that has since become its defining characteristic. Yeonmujang-gil is now lined with independent cafes, designer boutiques, and gallery spaces, with international brand pop-ups appearing regularly. Seoul Forest lies within walking distance, offering a natural counterpoint to the industrial-chic streetscape.
