About this place

Jamwon Hangang Park stretches 5.4 kilometers along the south bank of the Han River between Dongho Bridge and Banpo Bridge, sitting adjacent to Gangnam's Apgujeong, Sinsa, and Jamwon neighborhoods. The park is well-equipped with sports facilities including an athletics practice track, a soccer field, a basketball court and a tennis court, as well as a riverside cycling path that follows the full length of the park. In summer an outdoor swimming pool opens, and windsurfing and other water sports take place on the river. A silkworm experience center references the area's historical role as a royal silk-production site during the Joseon Dynasty.
