About this place

The Hyundai Seoul opened in February 2021 inside Parc.1, a mixed-use complex on Yeouido, as Hyundai Department Store's flagship. Running from seven basement levels to eight above ground it has 89,100 square metres of retail floor. As the dropped word "department store" in its name suggests, the empty space matters as much as the shops. A glass roof roughly 20 metres up covers the centre of the building and carries daylight down to the basement, with the first-floor Waterfall Garden and the fifth-floor indoor garden Sounds Forest below it. The indoor gardens cover 3,306 square metres and the standing art exhibition space another 595. Around 600 Korean and international labels are here, from luxury houses to young Korean designers, alongside pop-ups and art installations that change constantly. It stands in Parc.1 between Yeouinaru Station on Line 5 and Yeouido Station on Lines 5 and 9, and connects underground to the Yeouido Station side by way of the IFC Mall.
