About this place

Gyeongridan-gil is a roughly one-kilometer sloping alley in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu, stretching from Exit 2 of Noksapyeong Station up toward Namsan Mountain. The street takes its name from the former Armed Forces Financial Management Corps (Gyeongnidan) that was once stationed nearby, and its proximity to the U.S. military base has given rise to a rich mix of international restaurants, rooftop cafes, independent bookstores, and small ateliers. Climbing the gentle hill, visitors look out over central Seoul from open-air terraces and rooftop venues. It is a hillside lane with a different feel from the main Itaewon strip.
