About this place

Tucked between Hongdae and the Han River, Mangwon-dong is a neighborhood shaped more by its residents' daily life than by tourism. Mangwon Market, selected for the K-Tourism Market programme of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, is full of fresh produce and street food stalls. The adjoining Mangridan-gil alley is lined with independent cafes, vintage stores, and indie bookshops. Mangwon Hangang Park is a ten-minute walk away, good for picnics and cycling, and in the evening locals gather on the riverbank for chicken and beer.
