About this place

Opened in 2013 beside Gyeongbokgung Palace, MMCA Seoul occupies a historically rich site where Joseon-era government offices once stood. The building is organized around a series of open courtyards and houses eight gallery spaces, a cinema, and a multimedia hall. It hosts permanent and special exhibitions of Korean and international contemporary art. Its Samcheong-dong location connects seamlessly with the gallery district just outside its doors.
