About this place

Bukchon Hanok Village is a traditional hanok district, nestled between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces, and was once home to royalty and high-ranking officials of the Joseon dynasty. The tile-roofed alleyways of Gahoe-dong keep a streetscape that feels suspended in time. As a living neighborhood where residents still make their homes, visitors are asked to keep noise to a minimum throughout their stay.
