About this place

Opened in 2014 on the former Dongdaemun Stadium site, Dongdaemun Design Plaza is a vast cultural complex designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid. Its flowing exterior, clad in over 45,000 aluminum panels, makes it the world's largest three-dimensional freeform building, and it looks markedly different by day and by night. The complex encompasses exhibition halls, a design museum, a design market with dining options, and an outdoor grass plaza. It hosts Seoul Fashion Week and large-scale exhibitions.
