About this place

Myeongdong is a shopping and tourism district in central Seoul, centered on two intersecting streets running from Myeongdong Station on Subway Line 4 toward Euljiro and Lotte Department Store. The area is densely packed with cosmetics boutiques, fashion retailers, and accessory shops, with the flagship Lotte and Shinsegae department stores anchoring either end. Come evening, street stalls set up selling tteokbokki, fish cakes and egg bread. Myeongdong Cathedral and Myeongdong Arts Theater offer historical and cultural counterpoints to the shopping-focused surroundings.
